This intensive and exciting one-week experiential workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to gain greater insight about themselves and those around them and enhance their communication skills. The workshop starts on the weekend with full day classes on Saturday and Sunday and half-day classes on the following weekdays.
Throughout the week, participants will focus on relationship-building and the interpersonal skills necessary to attend sensitively to the needs of others, whilst establishing and maintaining clear boundaries for themselves. Through theoretical learning and practice sessions, participants will have an opportunity to explore their own personal blocks to intimacy that hinders healthy and productive communication. The week will also enable participants to take a step into the counselling world that they are learning about and experiencing some of the core principles in counselling skills.
Applicants are required to be aged 21 and above with a curiosity and willingness to get to know themselves and others around them. Admission on the workshop may be subject to a group interview. In addition, applicants must demonstrate personal maturity and the ability to cope with the emotional, intellectual and time commitment of the workshop.
Approximately 22-25 hours in the week.
